The Suncoast is fortunate to have the Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center, Inc. (SPARCC) whose mission is to provide services to victims of domestic and sexual violence, and to promote a violence free community through awareness and education.

Showcasing Sarasota’s wild side, Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary is a non-profit refuge for large cats, bears and other exotic animals in need of a safe haven. The sanctuary was founded by Kay Rosaire, who began rescuing big cats in 1987.
