holland-construction-logoHostetter Construction Now Holland Construction®.

Hostetter Construction, a Pennsylvania-based full-service construction contracting firm with offices in Sarasota, Florida, changed its corporate name to Holland Construction.

Founded in 1907 the company operates divisional offices in three locations - Sarasota, Florida; Columbia, Maryland; and Hanover, Pennsylvania. Since its inception the company has performed construction management activities for a wide range of office, retail, industrial, food service and residential projects throughout the mid-Atlantic and southwest Florida region.

President Joe Holland explains that the name change better reflects the Holland family ownership that guided and expanded the construction firm for over than 30 years. It also will provide a long-term and consistent identity for its future operations. Holland’s father, Roger Holland, acquired the company in the early 1980s and operated the firm under the Hostetter Construction flag throughout the past three decades.

“The company has experienced tremendous success under my father’s leadership, but we also understand that certain philosophies and procedures must be slightly altered to address what we are seeing and experiencing in our industry, present day,” Holland said. “Our decision to operate as Holland Construction also mirrors our commitment and intention to set new standards in the arenas of green and sustainable building practices, as well as to make significant strides to improve our social and environmental responsibilities,” he added.

Craig Campbell was named Vice President for Holland Construction’s Florida office. With over three decades of industry experience, Campbell, a well-known construction executive in this area, brings his expertise to Holland’s projects in preconstruction management, general contracting, design/build and LEED and Green building.

Campbell has extensive local community involvement, serving as a board member for the Humane Society of Manatee County and Junior Achievement of Sarasota County. He is also involved with nearly a dozen area business organizations and Chambers of Commerce.
