With stunning beaches, exquisite waterfront vistas, spectacular golf communities and a thriving downtown area, Sarasota’s real estate market isn’t just about the sales of homes and condominiums; it’s about lifestyles. The region’s amenities, a long-kept local secret, are becoming more appealing to individuals throughout the United States and beyond, who seek to experience what residents frequently describe as “paradise.”

For nearly 20 years the Hedge Team has been representing the sales and purchases of homes throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Engrained within their community, Tom, Charlotte and Tom Hedge Jr., along with team member Monica Barth, are real estate professionals who offer their clients an insider’s perspective on the region and an unparalleled market knowledge.

A highly accomplished and driven group, the members of The Hedge Team have consistently raised the bar throughout their respective careers. Charlotte, who first earned her sales license in New Jersey, went from Rookie of the Year, to REALTOR® of the Year in Burlington County, and was named the state’s REALTOR® of the Year in 1991. Monica, a Junior European Golf Champion, is fluent in five languages including German, French, Italian and Spanish. Tom, Charlotte, Tom Jr. and Monica have all earned broker’s licenses, and remain committed to the pursuit of ongoing education and professional development.

Representing the diverse landscape of Sarasota requires an ability to understand the unique wants and needs of a range of clients. The group is well-versed in the area’s luxury and high-end marketplace including waterfront and golf course communities, though they also work with buyers and sellers at every level, including military families, investors and second or vacation home buyers. The group’s decision to join Signature Sotheby’s International Realty, notes Charlotte, was motivated in part by the brokerage’s commitment to all clients. “Sotheby’s offers a notable standard of excellence to every customer, as do we,” she observes. “It’s about providing service and performance that clients can trust.”

A cohesive approach to their business has enabled the members of The Hedge Team to offer their clients a comprehensive plan of action for every transaction they represent. “It’s not realistic to expect an individual agent to excel in all areas,” Tom states. “The Hedge Team works because we each focus on our strengths. Tom Jr. is great with technology and maximizing our online presence, Charlotte is extremely organized and detail-oriented, and Monica is an invaluable asset in our work with international clients.” Tom’s background in construction – he holds a contractor’s license – as well as his experience in property management and commercial transactions, allows the team to assist their clientele in a range of transactions.

As technology has enabled real estate buyers and sellers to obtain a wealth of property and community information with the click of a mouse, savvy real estate professionals have adapted their businesses to continue to add value to the services they provide. The Hedge Team is no exception. From dedicated websites for their listings, to an insider’s understanding of area neighborhoods and communities, to the ability to negotiate traditional equity transactions along with short sales and REO property sales, the team is well-equipped to represent its clients in all of their real estate needs.

From Gulf to Golf, the members of The Hedge Team are helping their clientele discover their own slices of paradise. Exceptional and knowledgeable service, backed by professionalism and an unparalleled market knowledge, are the signature trademarks of a team that is positioned to continue to thrive for many years to come.
