Anne L. Weintraub, Esquire, has joined the law firm of Syprett, Meshad, Resnick, Lieb, Dumbaugh, Jones, Krotec & Westheimer, P.A., as a partner. Long-time assistant to Weintraub, Linda Romanowski, also joined the firm as Weintraub’s legal assistant.

Weintraub’s legal practice concentrates in the areas of real estate closings for the sale, purchase, and financing of real property, title insurance, and foreclosure avoidance. She also assists clients with short sales, loan modifications, deeds-in-lieu of foreclosure and purchasing bank-owned properties while negotiating work-out agreements with lenders.

Weintraub is known for offering pro-bono legal education and consultation to residents of Sarasota-Manatee and real estate professionals. Assisting Legal Aid of Manasota, Weintraub was instrumental in implementing Sarasota Circuit Court Chief Judge Lee Haworth’s Homestead Conciliatory Program. Judge Haworth hand-picked Weintraub to serve as the author of the Homestead Conciliatory handbook and the script for a companion video that serve as educational tools for Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte county homeowners.

Weintraub serves as president-elect of the Sarasota County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers’ Division; is a member of Stetson University College of Law’s Board of Overseers; a participant on the Corporate Board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Sarasota County, and is a Trustee on the Board of the Wellness Community of Southwest Florida.
